Skilled Professionals in South Surrey for Craniosacral & Fascial Techniques
Are you looking for a safe and gentle approach to treating your body with profound results? Consider the following techniques; craniosacral therapy, fascial work, and muscle energy. These are unique forms of manual therapy, which we are trained in at Ocean Park Massage Therapy Clinic, that can create change at the base level – our connective tissue. Injuries and trauma of any type can imprint our connective tissue, which can lead to chronic pain, postural issues, mobility restrictions, and more. By using these gentle techniques, we can help create change in the connective tissue and nervous system.
Craniosacral is a technique which treats fascia at the cellular level with gentle touch and treatment of the craniosacral system: the skull, spine, and pelvis. Fascial work focuses on the fascia, a thin layer of tissue surrounding and supporting muscles, bones, organs, and more. Whereas the muscle energy technique has the patient as an active individual as it involves specific active muscle contractions to release tension and improve mobility. These modalities are very complimentary.
This is a fascial technique focused on removing the restrictions in the connective tissues of the central nervous system. Injuries, poor posture, and stress are the major causes of these restrictions. In order to fix our body’s alignment and heal the injury, our therapist will use a light touch to stimulate the joints in the skull, parts of the pelvis, and the spine. This allows your body to relax completely. This technique has been effective in treating a range of conditions like migraine headaches, depression, and TMJ dysfunction.
If you feel your muscles have become tight or you have restricted movement, consult our therapist for fascial treatment. The fascial technique aims to improve your tissues' flexibility by releasing tension and relaxing contracted muscles. It helps in improving structural dysfunctions and imbalances while restoring proper posture in your body. Fascial therapy is helpful in the following conditions:
Soft tissue pain
Lack of flexibility
Carpal tunnel syndrome
